Looking Back at VIBE 2025

Within the framework of the Vietnam International Furniture & Building Exhibition – VIBE 2025, held from October 1–4, 2025 at SECC – 799 Nguyen Van Linh, Ho Chi Minh City, Gallery Architecture played a leading role in organizing the “25+ Exhibition” and the specialized seminar “Next in House – Residential Architecture.”

Gallery Architecture designed a distinctive exhibition space under the theme “25+”, bringing together 26 architectural firms from various provinces across Vietnam, showcasing 39 projects and works spanning residential buildings, public architecture, interior design, and office spaces.

The dominant material and design language were clearly expressed through curved bamboo structures forming continuous vaulted arches, combined with the subtle aroma of incense, creating a space that felt both enclosed and open—artistic yet intimate and approachable.

This space was not only an exhibition area but also a platform for idea exchange, where architects, material brands, and the public could meet, interact, and share creative inspiration. The choice of bamboo and the vaulted architectural form served as a statement on Vietnamese architecture: one that connects local identity, craftsmanship, and global design trends.

At the seminar “Next in Space – Next in House”, held immediately after the opening ceremony of the exhibition on the afternoon of October 2, 2025, Gallery Architecture continued with a specialized discussion that raised the question: “What kind of housing style do Vietnamese people choose today—one that preserves cultural identity or one that embraces global trends?”

The panel featured several respected architects and founders, including Nguyen Tuan Nghia (NGHIA-Architect), Le Phong Nguyen (MIRAI HOUSE), Ngo Viet Khanh Duy (2305 Studio), and Architect Nguyen Thu Phong (Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Architects), who shared insights on contemporary residential design trends in the context of globalization and integration.

The seminar served as a bridge between professional practice, design thinking, and end users, expanding perspectives on Vietnamese residential architecture in the 2020–2025 period, with key considerations such as climate adaptability, local identity, new materials, and contemporary architectural language.

Through VIBE 2025, Gallery Architecture was not only an organizer but also became a true “meeting point” for young architects and material brands. By bringing together architectural studios from across the country, the exhibition created a meaningful network of regional and national connections within the design community.

The use of curved bamboo structures and the strong artistic spatial design clearly reflected a revival of craftsmanship and local identity in Vietnamese architecture, while still remaining open to international trends and influences.

The “Next in House” seminar opened a practical dialogue on housing—from living experience and community values to functionality and aesthetics. This contributed to shaping the evolving landscape of residential architecture in Vietnam, both in the present and future.

At the same time, the commercial and industry connection aspects were also strengthened: the exhibition functioned not only as a creative platform but also as a space to showcase outstanding design works to the public and the market, fostering stronger links between businesses and the design community.

The collaboration between Gallery Architecture and VIBE 2025 delivered a “dual mission”: creating an artistic exhibition experience while also establishing a professional platform for architects and material brands.

From the “25+” exhibition space to the “Next in House” seminar, the entire event reflected a clear direction: Vietnamese architecture moving forward in parallel with both cultural identity and global integration.
